Compressed air for seismic operations
Removal of liquid from compressed air, before and after the compressor
In operation (2023)
Sold or licensed, and in use with another company. The level records the highest step reached, with the year.
The problem
Seismic surveys at sea run on compressed air. Compressors leave liquid in the air line, and the liquid has to be removed before the air is used.
What the Lynx separator does
The Lynx separator removes liquid from the air line, both before and after the compressor.
It handles variation in liquid load without flooding, which matters when a compressor runs at changing duty.
The unit is compact, so it fits an air line that is already built.
What happened, and when
- On 24 May 2023 InnSep stated that the separator was in use with Norwegian partners for cleaning compressed air for seismic operations.
- The same statement listed compressed air in Europe as an area open to partners, covering removal of liquid before and after compressors.
